Kicking off version 3 of my blog was an exclusive freebie of my brand-new Absolution design. Designed with Apophysis and Photoshop, the main inspiration behind this was a limited edition poster design done by Chuck Anderson, aka NoPattern.
Close watchers of me and my work will notice that this is the design I was set to give away as a print design. As such, with family and work commitments and priorities changing, I was unable to get the design printed, especially the way I imagined. So, instead, I turned it into a wallpaper to give away as a freebie on my newly-launched blog.
Designed with the the free, open-source Apophysis, I was looking at trying to create a close-as design to Chuck Anderson's work, but instead the design took it's own route and is way different from what I originally planned.
The original render took over 24 hours to complete and the source file in at 36MB alone, which then I imported into Photoshop and manipulated it to the final version you can now enjoy as a wallpaper.
As with all of my wallpapers, you’ll find every size imaginable, from HD to iPad – including the all new, high resolution iPhone 4 version. go and grab them over at my blog on the link below.
