Welcome to the portfolio of Phil Stringfellow, a web designer and front end developer from the United Kingdom with a keen eye for pixel perfect design and clean coding.
Right, where to start? You've probably already figured out my name is Phil Stringfellow. And no, I'm not related. Or have his same taste in leopard-skin thongs. Instead, I was born and bred some little piece of land called the Wirral where I mostly foraged for nuts and barley on Bidston Hill and played peek-a-boo with squirrels. After being raised on dodgy 80's music, and becoming addicted to Bombay Bad Boy Pot Noodles, I found the internet and voilà! The web designer in me was born.
Starting off learning HTML the old-fashioned way (stealing other people's code) I made websites of things I liked: My Little Pony, Barbie and The Smurfs. After being abducted by the Westborough Baptist Church, where I learnt the dark art of graphic design, I returned to the warm bosom of web design after negotiating my release with a potato gun and several out of date sesame seeds. Realising I had a lot of catching up to do, I learned modern web design the hard way, learning XHTML, CSS and jQuery/PHP integration. Taught by penguins.
Still there? Plain and simple, I make good websites, and can make logos and design branding too. I like pixel perfection and I like my code clean. I make websites like I make tea - strong, reliable and not rushed. You can see more of what I do down below (quiet at the back) and then you can contact me with your ideas on how you want to make the next Twitter. In Esperanto.
Using a combination of penguin taught coding and some program called Photoshop, I can create websites from scratch, from one page websites to full WordPress integrated sytems used for showing off your collection of taxidermic snails.
More recently, I'm in the process of learning new CSS3 techniques, like media-query gubbins and canvas animation.
You have your website, bought a shiny new phone and now you want to update all your fellow taxidermists on the move in Esperanto. You need a UI designer then. And that's me.
I can design for Android and iOS, using a smart little program called Illustrator and that other one again, Photoshop. Now you'll never be out of touch again with your fellow mollusc fans.
Your desktop isn't just for storing hundreds of icons that you'll never use. You can also show off some pretty cool wallpapers created by me using that old stalwart, Photoshop.
From abstract to vector designs, I can create wallpapers suited to every size and resolution going, from widescreen and HD, to iPhone and iPad sizes.
